Wow, what a great day that was for the fun fly.  I dont think we could have asked for anthing better, light winds, clear and sunny, a bit on the warm side, but not extremely hot.  There was a great turnout for the event, both on the pilot side and the spectators.  I think that it was a fantastic success for everyone.  I know that I had a good time, even did some buddy box flying with a family that im sure had a good time also.

The only thing that was bad is that I, being the dope that I am, didnt put on any sunscreen on and came away from it with a bit of a burn on the backs of my legs, not to mention my forehead is a bit tingly.

I sure hope that someone is out taking advantage of this great weather today.  I am stuck at home doing some remodeling.

Only 9 more days until the event!  Hope everyone is getting ready for a great time.

I hope that we have a good turnout and a beautiful day for all the festivities.

Due to the unacceptable postings that have been showing up from some unwanted forum members, there is now a process to approve membership prior to being able to post on this forum.

I regret having to do this but the posts seemed to be showing up daily from new forum members that didn't follow guidelines and they were truly, well, just flat unacceptable.

I have been checking this forum at least once a day, mostly two to three times daily and will strive to make sure that new members will get approved as quickly as possilbe.

The parking are and road are drying out.  Still a little damp, but getting there.

Well, I went out to the field and found three other people out flying.  The weather was perfect, not too hot and no wind to speak of.  All of us had a great time flying.

One of the people was a guest of a member from Boise.  He said that this was the first time he had flown from grass and wasnt to sure about it, but was having fun.  He did have a problem with one of his planes that had the elevator catch the grass when he landed and pulled the hinges out, this after the nut came off the muffler and the engine quit.

All in all, it was a good day for flying.

All the rain that we had out there put some puddles on the road, as you can imagine.  There is also a large area in the parking space that is standing water.  It has gone down since I was there on Sunday, but it is still there, so watch out for it.  Hopefully we can keep from stirring it up too much and when it dries out it wont be rough.

Also, watch out for the mosquitos.  They are out in force!!
